As the Procurement Director, you will define, lead, and facilitate a sustainable purchasing strategy for Camurus. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the purchasing process within the organization. This involves defining purchasing policies, overall management of purchasing processes, negotiating with vendors and supplier to establish new contracts, and to a certain extent managing purchasing budgets. You will interact with relevant internal stakeholders such as Finance, R&D, Quality, Legal and Manufacturing & Supply as applicable. You will also oversee and monitor the activities and deliverables and interact with the counter parts as needed as well as provide the management with regular progress reports.

Main responsibility
Working at Ecophon is characterized by teamwork and open communication. As Chemical Engineer, you will work cross-functionally with colleagues throughout most of the company. This is an independent specialist role covering a large scope, and a broad spectrum of tasks. Among others, your responsibility will include:

  • Providing an in-depth knowledge of the market to ensure best value and practices.

  • Developing a procurement business plan for the organization and ensuring it is communicated.

  • Reviewing and negotiating contracts and service agreements with suppliers, maintaining positive relationships.

  • Ensuring vendors are secure, sustainable, and work in accordance with Camurus’ sustainability goals and Code of Conduct.

  • Acting as the main point of contact regarding procurement related questions.

  • Researching options to source best value products and services.

  • Forecasting price trends and predicting how they will affect the organization.

  • Managing tenders and evaluating bids.

  • Monitoring the purchasing budget and ensuring best value.

  • Implementing relevant training for our employees as applicable.

  • Attending industry trade conferences where relevant.

Candidate profile
You are self-driven, with a proven ability to navigate in a fast-paced organization. We expect you to be solution oriented, working in close collaboration with your stakeholders with a pragmatic mindset.

A successful candidate has:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, purchasing, logistics or quality Previous experience from a well-structured and multinational organization

  • Proven negotiation skills

  • Great analytical capabilities combined with excellent communication skills

  • Good networking and collaboration skills

  • Leadership skills at a senior level together with project management skills

  • Experience of building and maintaining a vendor program.
