We are looking for a Scientific Communicator/Copywriter (medical/scientific writer) to join our Marketing Communications team.

ABOUT THE JOB

In the role as Scientific (Medical) Communicator/Copywriter you will:  

  • Support the Company’s creation of content that communicate scientific information, such as website texts, marketing documents, commercial campaigns, conference submissions, presentations, and customer communication  

  • Use your scientific knowledge to research, write and edit engaging copy that translates complicated science to clear marketing messaging and appeals to a range of audiences 

  • Interact and liaise effectively with experts within different areas to collect scientific information for communication and marketing purposes, as well as review and edit content written by others   

  • Successfully manage assignments, balance competing priorities and deliver communication projects to a high standard against tight deadlines with high quality control on own output  

  • Keep in close touch with developments across the organization, and propose ideas for new content, features, and other communication initiatives  

 Responsibilities:  

  • Acquire and maintain in-depth understanding of relevant therapy areas, customer groups, and other business objectives  

  • Monitor and keep up with the positions taken by others regarding major health-, policy- and clinical practice developments relevant to our business, life science, clinical diagnostics, and drug development 

  • Ensure the scientific accuracy of printed and online materials 

  • Prepare excellent content to promote our service and product offering for our website, print collateral, email newsletters and other communication campaign activities 

  • Assist in the production process for educational seminars, webinars, and other recordings 

ABOUT YOU

  • You have a broad view of science and aim to share this with a general audience and have demonstrate the ability to grasp new areas of scientific research in a short time frame 

  • You can combine solid content knowledge in the relevant field of science with the ability to present this information to others in a variety of formats  

  • You are a skilled writer who can help customers and colleagues to understand scientific and clinical information 

  • You have effective interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment 

  • You have experience with editing and creating scientific content and producing communication assets incl. digital content, educational presentations, and print collateral 

  • You are creative, organized, detail-oriented professional with great problem-solving skills 

  • You have strong oral and written communication and presentation skills in both English and Swedish 

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • Degree and a higher degree in Life Sciences, or Medicine (BSc, BA, PharmD, PhD, MD) or Undergraduate science degree or relevant science degree (Life Sciences) 

  • Experience of writing and editing for different audiences, especially for Clinical physicians, other Health Care and Laboratory personnel, both nationally and internationally

  • Experience of producing content with special attention to Search Engine Optimization and Conversion Rate Optimization 

  • Experience of interviewing people (in person or telephone) and producing educational seminars, webinars, and other recordings both IRL and on the internet 

  • Professional experience in journalism, or experience from working in a Life Science Advertising Agency is desirable
